The Word of the Producer
It is a red wine produced clandestinely in Armenia using grapes from the ancient Persian grape variety Rasheh, harvested in the Sardasht region of Iran. The production was undertaken by Vahe Keushgerian, under the patronage of the Persian poet Rumi (also known as Molana), and marks the first time a wine has been produced from Iranian grapes in nearly fifty years, since the ban on wine in Iran in 1979.
